About

The German Institute for Literature Leipzig (DLL) at the University of Leipzig has been dedicated to training future writers since 1995.

A central goal of the courses is the development and reflection of individual literary projects and writing styles.

The bachelor’s program offers a wide range of courses in the areas of prose, poetry and scenic writing. The master’s program focuses on the development of novel projects. A large part of the training takes place in form of workshops, which have the students’ own literary work as main focus. All courses are in German.

The following three student projects offer insights into the institute:

The Tippgemeinschaft is an anthology that brings together literary works by current students and is published every year during the Leipzig Book Fair.

The reading platform Hausdurchsuchung takes place approximately every other month at different locations and offers the possibility for students to read from their texts.

Through the Verein für Literaturvermittlung Leipzig former students offer individual workshops for literary writing.
